Intimate San Francisco City Hall Elopement | T & H

Brides in short white lace dress and burgundy velvet blazer sharing a kiss on San Francisco City Hall stepsSan Francisco City Hall

A few months, ago Tif reached out to ask if I would document their SF City Hall civil ceremony with their closest family and friends. I remember being so pumped to work with them again, and I have since photographed another elopement of some of their friends (more to come soon!)

I met Tif and Hannah a few months ago when I shot their engagement session, and to say that I am a big fan of theirs would be an understatement. Before we even met in person, Tif mentioned Hannah’s love for the beachfront Taco Bell in Pacifica, and I knew I had found my people. They are kind, energetic, funny, and open to anything.

Apart from location scouting a few days before, this was my first time really inside City Hall, and I have to say:
I totally get the magic.

We arrived on a Friday afternoon, notoriously one of the busiest times of the week, and everything still felt so special. Being surrounded by couples and families on one of the most exciting days of their lives somehow does that. There, in the heart of the city, is a microcosm of a joyful collection of people celebrating everything that is good.

Of course, the architecture and lighting inside is killer beautiful and each floor has something unique to offer (even the stairwells) , but add in a helplessly in-love couple and their people who came from all over to celebrate the weekend with them and – voila – you’ve got the perfect afternoon.

This day was so full of love and excitement. You can see it in the way they look at each other. You can see it in the way their loved ones showed out for them. And if you’re still reading this scroll down to see it all for yourself.
